Qisheng Colloidal Battery

The main components that can provide electrical energy for lead-acid batteries are the positive and negative plates and electrolyte. The specific gravity and volume of electrolyte are equally important for providing electrical energy. The height of the battery liquid level should be 10-15mm higher than the electrode plate. When there is a shortage of liquid, the battery liquid or distilled water should be replenished in a timely manner according to different situations, otherwise it will shorten the service life of the battery! Commercial dry charged batteries do not have electrolyte added. When using, it is necessary to supplement the electrolyte according to the instructions (dilute sulfuric acid with a specific gravity of about 1.28 is usually added to cars). After the initial addition of acid, let it stand for 20 minutes to allow the sulfuric acid to fully diffuse and react with the positive and negative plates. Then, test the specific gravity of the electrolyte and make up for the amount of acid above the lowest liquid level. If the result of testing the specific gravity does not change significantly, it can be used. If the proportion is low, it indicates that the battery is short of power for some reason and should be recharged for a certain period of time to ensure the battery's lifespan.

Please refer to the following table for the specific gravity and condition of the battery fluid:

Adequate battery discharge capacity of 30% discharge capacity of 100%

1.2750-1.285 1.170-1.190 1.050-1.070

However, during testing, if the difference in electrolyte density between two cells exceeds 0.040, it indicates that the battery electrolyte has failed or the inner plate has been damaged. In this case, the battery should be replaced.

The rapid consumption of electrolyte during battery use is generally caused by the splashing of electrolyte due to vibrations during car driving or the evaporation of a large amount of electrolyte. If the battery electrolyte is consumed too quickly, the following checks should be carried out:

(1) Check whether the battery case is cracked, whether the plug is tightened, and whether there are cracks in the sealing glue around the lid. If it is due to the above reasons, the casing should be repaired or replaced, and electrolyte should be added after repair. (2) Check if the voltage regulator is out of balance or if the limit voltage exceeds the standard. If so, the regulator should be inspected and adjusted. Due to the high limit voltage, the charging current can be too high. If the battery is in an overcharged state for a long time, it will cause the temperature of the battery to rise, the electrolyte to boil, and a large number of bubbles to evaporate outward, resulting in rapid consumption of the electrolyte. After adjusting the voltage regulator, distilled water can be added to the battery, as water is lost through evaporation.

take care of

When the car is not in use for more than a month, the negative cable of the battery should be disconnected. Corrosion, rust, and dirt at the battery joint can increase contact resistance and make it difficult for current to pass through. Generating electricity in this state will increase fuel consumption. Therefore, please rinse with hot water, remove it, install the positive and negative cables firmly, and apply rust proof grease.
